quite possibly the most random/awesome thing ever!

So I worked from 2 pm to 10 pm today, but the BEST part of my day didn't occur until 10 minutes before the end of my shift. I was at the register when suddenly, a guy that works at the nearby Papa John's comes in. And he looks at me and asks,

"Hey, would you like a bunch of free pizzas?"

Me: "Err...yeah, sure!"

Pizza dude: Some one ordered fifty dollars worth of pizza over the phone and never came to pick them up. But just a warning, some of the toppings are pretty weird.

So Denise, Natalie (my coworkers) and I give each other weird looks and wait for the pizza to arrive. 5 minutes later, 4 large boxes of piping hot pizza arrive. I eagerly grab the boxes and go put them on the manager's desk. Denise and Natalie come over to watch the opening of the boxes.

Box 1: Pineapple. Immediately, I ask for it. I looove pineapple as a pizza topping (especially with canadian bacon), and I know most people hate it. They both thought it was gross, so I got dibs on it.

Box 2: Mushrooms. Pretty normal. Natalie decided to go for that one.

Box 3: (get this!) Pineapple and sausage. We were all weirded out, and went "What???" in unison. I mean...that has to be the most random/strange/rare toppings pizza topping combination ever. Who ever heard of pineapple and sausage? I mean...really! Unfortuantely no one wanted to claim the weird little pizza. We all sort of stared at it, and Denise said, "Someone has to try it." There was a moment of silence, but Natalie decided she would give it a shot. As she picks up a slice, all of the toppings slide off along with the cheese, so she takes this as a sign that she shouldn't eat it. However, she decides SOMEONE needs to eat it. So she goes over to the phone and calls up a friend, asking,

"Do you like pineapple and sausage pizza?"

Oddly enough, the person on the end of the line seemed to and said they were coming to pick it up later.

Box 4: I lift the lid slowly, and we eagerly anticipate some sort of freakish, bizzare pizza. But then we see it's just...

Pepperoni??? How lame, and not to mention anticlimatic! Denise ended up getting that one, so all of the pizzas belonging to the world's strangest pizza order got a home! For some reason, we all thought this pizza experience was hilariously funny at the time. Hell, I still do. That's what working for 8 hours will do to ya.

Anywho, that's my totally random story.
